In this course, students formulate and investigate their own scientific questions in bioinformatics. By analyzing biological data, applying previous knowledge and critically reviewing results, both scientific thinking and practical skills are trained. The work is presented in the form of a report, popular science summary, posters and oral presentation, with a focus on ethics, societal benefit and scientific dialogue.
In this course, you will do a degree project in bioinformatics at a bachelor level, which means that your project must be research-related. The scope of the project corresponds to 20 weeks of full-time studies. You will deepen and apply your bioinformatics knowledge while gaining practice in using a scientific approach when planning and implementing a research-oriented project. The results of the project are presented in a written report and with an oral presentation followed by an opposition.
