Vice-Chancellor and Senior University Officers

The Vice-Chancellor is responsible for managing the University of Skövde's operations. The Pro Vice-Chancellor acts as the Vice-Chancellor's deputy, while the University Director is the head of the University's Support Services. Together, the Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, and University Director are referred to as the Senior University Officers. The University of Skövde also has Deputy Vice-Chancellors responsible for specific areas.

Vice-Chancellor – Muriel Beser Hugosson

The Vice-Chancellor is the head of the university and directs the university’s operations. Following a proposal from the university’s board of governors, the Vice-Chancellor is appointed by the government. The appointment is for a maximum of six years and can be extended on no more than two occasions for three years on each such occasion.

Pro Vice-Chancellor – Anna Runnemalm

The Pro Vice-Chancellor is the Vice-Chancellor’s deputy and is appointed by the university’s board of governors. The appointment is for a maximum of six years. The Pro Vice-Chancellor is Anna Runnemalm.

Acting University Director – Nils Svensson

The University Director is one of the Senior University Officers and head of support services, which is a shared function of the entire university. Support services are responsible for shared administrative support and service to operations. Nils Svensson is acting University Director

Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Alexandra Krettek

The University of Skövde has a Deputy Vice-Chancellor responsible for research. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor for research is Alexandra Krettek.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Mikael Ejdebäck
