      Focus areas

The activities that are performed within the framework of quality assurance procedures are based on four focus areas:

      1. Quality assurance of research applications and ongoing projects
      2. Research building the research and education environment
      3. Staff recruitment, career paths, and competence development
      4. Research ethical questions, and the responsibility for societal
        development held by research

Activities to ensure and develop quality

The activities to ensure and develop quality in research involve special review or follow-up. In the list below you can read more about the activities. In-depth information about the activity is provided either on a special page or in a governing document.

      Annual follow-up of research projects

The purpose of this internal follow-up activity is to summarize the status of ongoing research projects and help to define any need to adjust in the project's implementation.

Six-year follow-up of research, collaboration and utilization

The purpose of the activity is to show the strengths and development opportunities of the research environments and research groups in relation to research, collaboration and utilization in a broad sense. All research at the University (research environments with associated research groups and research only linked to education) is followed up from a national and international perspective, with the support of external peer review.

      External reviews
