The University of Skövde is active in its quality assurance procedures in research. The purpose of quality assurance procedures is to ensure and develop quality.
The quality assurance procedures in research are described in the document Quality Assurance Procedures in Research (PDF). It states that the quality assurance in research, as well as other quality work at the University, is based on the improvement cycle.
The activities that are performed within the framework of quality assurance procedures are based on four focus areas:
The activities to ensure and develop quality in research involve special review or follow-up. In the list below you can read more about the activities. In-depth information about the activity is provided either on a special page or in a governing document.
The purpose of this internal follow-up activity is to summarize the status of ongoing research projects and help to define any need to adjust in the project's implementation.
The purpose of the activity is to show the strengths and development opportunities of the research environments and research groups in relation to research, collaboration and utilization in a broad sense. All research at the University (research environments with associated research groups and research only linked to education) is followed up from a national and international perspective, with the support of external peer review.
The Swedish Higher Education Autority (UKÄ) is an indipendent government agency, reviewing all higher education institutions in Sweden. UKÄ evaluates the quality of higher education and research.
