      Quality assurance procedures in education

      The University of Skövde is active in its quality assurance procedures in education. The purpose of quality assurance procedures is to ensure and develop quality.

      Activities to ensure and develop quality

      Annual follow-up of study programmes

      The follow-up aims to provide a basis for the continuous development of the study programme in a systematic way. The students' feedback on the programme's structure and content is a vital part of the process. 

      Six-year follow-up of education 

      The purpose of the activity is to ensure that a comprehensive follow-up takes place regularly of all subjects and study programmes. 

      Establishment of education

      The purpose of the activity is to ensure that the educational offer at the University meets the requirements that exist for high quality and research basis and that the courses and study programmes correspond to the students' demand and the needs of the labor market.

      Closing of education 

      Closing of education can take place for strategic reasons or for quality reasons.

      Collection of students', doctoral students' and alumni' views

      The purpose of the activity is to ensure students, doctoral students and alumni get the opportunity to present their experiences of - and views on - education and the learning environment.

      Follow-up conversations with doctoral students

      The purpose of the activity is to follow up individual doctoral students' progression, situation and learning environment. Progression and planning of the doctoral student's further education are documented in the individual study plan.

      Entering into and following up international collaboration agreements

      The purpose of the activity is to ensure that the University's collaboration with foreign higher education institutions in education is conducted in accordance with the strategic direction found in the development plan and operational plans.

      External reviews

      The Swedish Higher Education Autority (UKÄ) is an indipendent government agency, reviewing all higher education institutions in Sweden. UKÄ evaluates the quality of higher education and research.
