The Board of Governors is the University of Skövde's highest decision-making body. The Swedish government appoints the chairman of the board and seven members who represent public interests. The Vice-Chancellor, three teachers, and three students are also regular members of the Board. Two representatives for the employees, elected by the trade unions, have the right to attend and speak at the board's meetings.
