Attitudes and use of learning with virtual generative AI-agents
Generative AI agents (GenAI) enable realistic training with virtual patients in crisis scenarios and strengthen communication, decision-making and ethical judgement among staff and students. The project investigates how technological openness, digital competence and attitudes influence the use of and learning with GenAI-based AI avatars in education and healthcare.
January 2024 - December 2028 DHEARHackathon in Healthcare
The SkaS Express project is a hackathon in which students in healthcare and systems development work together with healthcare professionals. The purpose is to investigate whether hackathons as a working method can help address challenges in healthcare.

Virtual patients - Interactive educational modules focusing on intimate partner violence
The purpose of the research project is to evaluate an educational module with a virtual patient, focusing intimate partner violence. The project is carried out in collaboration between the Center for Psychiatry Research in Stockholm (Region Stockholm and Karolinska Institutet) and The Department of Health Sciences, University of Skövde.
March 2024 - March 2026 DHEARHealthy Aging in the Digital Society (HeADS)
The purpose of HeADS is to study digitization, social community, participation and health and the connection between them. The study is carried out in collaboration with the municipality of Skövde, which wishes to gain a greater understanding of what needs exist among the municipality's residents, in order to best meet the needs that exist.
