Your doctoral studies at the University of Skövde are generally financed through employment as a doctoral student. This is a fixed-term position lasting until you have completed your doctoral degree, but no longer than five years. As a doctoral student, you will normally also participate in teaching and other departmental duties up to 20% of your position.
It is also possible to be admitted as a doctoral student at another university while conducting your research at the University of Skövde. You may also be employed in industry or the public sector and still be admitted as a doctoral student at the University.
How to apply for doctoral studies
To be eligible for doctoral studies at the University of Skövde, you must have completed a degree at the second-cycle (advanced) level. Your degree must also be in a field that is sufficiently related to the subject of the doctoral programme. For individuals with a foreign undergraduate degree, equivalent requirements apply.
