      Wellbeing in Long-term Health Problems

Our research focuses on health and digitalization for sustainable development from the perspective of both the patient, relatives and the health professionals. The research aim to capture their experience from digital technology, digital systems and processes and its effect on health and wellbeing. Another research focus is to study how digital technology affects health, caregiving and learning, in the context of availability, quality, security and sustainable development in health and social care from the perspective of patients, family, nursing and caregiving, organizations and students.

The objective for this research is to develop theory and practice to promote and support the individual’s wellbeing in every context and stage of life from a perspective of sustainable development in a digitalized society. The research is based on ethical patient perspectives which highlights the patient’s vulnerability, view of their life situation, integrity, personal resources, participation and autonomy as well as how person centered care can be accomplished.
