The research school will address interesting, challenging, and multidisciplinary issues of significant societal interest, offering great potential benefits in the areas of health and welfare.

By working in collaboration, all participating organisations will be able to benefit from the experience, expertise, and knowledge that each partner contributes, while co-producing new knowledge and innovation to tackle problem areas that require joint efforts from multiple stakeholders.

      Doctoral projects

Through the doctoral projects, the research school will contribute new innovations, knowledge, and skills related to digital innovation in health and welfare.

Additionally, Swedish companies and public organisations will gain access to specialised expertise capable of working with the research and innovation process, including need-oriented approaches, technical design and development, practical implementation, and evaluating change from various perspectives of value and benefit.

The research school's role is to function as a shared learning environment where partners collaboratively create understanding, knowledge, and insights into the co-production of new knowledge and innovations.

      Goals and Vision

The goal of the research school is to increase national competence and capacity for research, development, implementation, and dissemination of digital innovation in health and welfare.

By strengthening collaboration between researchers, doctoral students, and private and regional actors, the research school aims to:

      • Create a multidisciplinary research school that prepares doctoral students to work closely with industry and public actors.
      • Contribute to the development and execution of research projects that combine high scientific quality with significant societal benefits.
      • Strengthen the ability to co-produce knowledge and innovations in collaboration with industry and public actors.
