      Quick Facts

      Full project name

Development of Decision Support for Users in Risky Online Situations

      Duration

      November 2020 – May 2022

      Funding and collaboration

The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS)

The project aims to develop a tool (a browser plugin) designed to help users act appropriately in potentially risky situations online. The tool will detect when the user is in a potentially risky scenario and provide information to guide them in handling the situation safely.

The tool will identify situations where the user may be at risk of phishing, "fake news," online fraud, or when creating passwords. Using short training sequences based on "Context-Based MicroTraining (CBMT)," the tool will guide users on how to respond. The goal is to make users more resilient and aware of online threats.
