This research project examines, in general, the mental well-being of individuals over 18 years of age in Sweden, and specifically, the mental well-being of individuals with post-COVID compared to those without post-COVID.
Mental well-being in this project is defined as a subjective experience, meaning something each individual uniquely describes. However, previous research has shown that commonalities in these descriptions exist, which can be summarised as a combination of emotional aspects ("experienced feelings") and cognitive aspects ("self-reported satisfaction").
Post-COVID is defined in this project as individuals with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 infection who experience more than three months of persistent health effects following the onset of illness.
The project is conducted through a survey comprising several well-established scientific questionnaires designed to measure various aspects of mental well-being.
