The project aims to investigate the prevalence of intimate partner violence among young people in Skaraborg, with a focus on identifying risk factors for both being subjected to and perpetrating violence.
Studies show that more than half of young people in Sweden have experienced violence in a close relationship – but we do not know the extent of the issue locally in Skaraborg.
By mapping young people’s experiences of relationship violence in Skaraborg, the project will create better conditions for developing effective, preventive interventions.
The goal is to reduce the risk of the serious consequences that such violence can lead to – including mental health problems, physical harm, and increased risk of alcohol and drug misuse.
