The purpose of HeADS is to study digitization, social community, participation and health and the connection between them. The study is carried out in collaboration with the municipality of Skövde, which wishes to gain a greater understanding of what needs exist among the municipality's residents, in order to best meet the needs that exist.
Today, more people are living longer. Many older persons are healthy and active participants in society. Other older persons have a greater burden of disease, which can limit the opportunity to actively participate in society and in social contexts.
Lack of participation can contribute to poorer physical and mental health. Furthermore, a lack of digital competence can be a barrier to participation as many authorities, organizations and private individuals increasingly share information digitally.
Today, we know relatively little about how digital competence relates to social relationships and participation in society and to health.
The purpose of HeADS is therefore to study digitization, social community, participation and health and the connection between them. The study is carried out in collaboration with the municipality of Skövde, which wishes to gain a greater understanding of what needs exist among the municipality's residents, in order to best meet the needs that exist.
The questionnaire is therefore sent out to a random sample of people aged 55 and older living in the municipality of Skövde in December 2023.
