As part of the INGENIUM Sustainability Week in November, you are invited to take part in the SDGs (sustainable development goals) Hackathon, an online event running 12–13 November. Over the course of two days, you will collaborate to design creative and feasible solutions to real-world sustainability challenges.
The hackathon will bring together, online, up to 100 students from all ten INGENIUM partner Universities and partner institutions in developing countries, working in diverse teams of five to six. Together, you will address issues such as campus climate resilience, waste management, student well-being and energy monitoring. The aim is to combine entrepreneurship with collaboration, creating prototypes and concepts that can be implemented at the INGENIUM University campuses across Europe.
The SDGs Hackathon is a chance to think outside the box, connect across cultures and disciplines, and take action on the sustainability challenges that affect us all. Through the hackathon you will be empowered to be changemakers, while also learning from each other’s perspectives and experiences.
In addition to solving case challenges, you will benefit from mentoring, short lectures, and feedback from an international jury. For your participation you will recieve a digital badge. The jury will consist of several sustainable development specialists from the partner universities or associate partners. The jury will give points to the teams based on criteria, agreed on in advance, like the feasibility of the project and the link to the SDG’s.
By focusing on topics that directly impact campus life and the wider society, the SDGs Hackathon reflects INGENIUM’s commitment to sustainability and to empowering the next generation of problem solvers.
Please register before November 3rd at the aplication form below. The application might close earlier if the spots are filled.
