Invitation to Graduation Ceremony

Time and Location

The ceremony will take place in Valhall, Kulturhuset in Skövde, during the afternoon of Friday, December 5. The exact time will be announced after registration has closed.

Programme

During the ceremony, the University will present a personal diploma to each participating student. The event will also include speeches, entertainment, and the awarding of scholarships. After the ceremony, light refreshments will be served. 

Please note that while all information about the ceremony will be provided in both Swedish and English, the majority of the ceremony will be conducted in Swedish.

Guests

You have the opportunity to bring up to two guests to the ceremony.

Dress Code

Suit or dress is recommended, but a blazer or other neat attire is also appropriate. The occasion is festive and formal, but the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and nicely dressed.

Rehearsal

Diplomas will be awarded by department and programme. To ensure the ceremony runs smoothly, there will be a mandatory run-through and rehearsal for all participating students (not guests) earlier the same day. The exact time will be communicated when registration closes.

Who Can Participate?

To participate in the ceremony, your degree certificate must be issued no later than the registration deadline on November 9. Here you can find information on how to apply for your degree certificate: Degree Certificate (student.his.se/en)

If you are unable to attend this year, you are welcome to participate in the graduation ceremony up to three years after completing your degree.

Please note that registration is binding. Participation is free of charge, but in case of no-show or cancellation after November 16, an administrative fee of 200 SEK will be charged.
