The College has a number of classrooms adapted for hybrid seminars. This means that participants are both present in the room and via a digital meeting room.
Therefore, the rooms are equipped with cameras and extra monitors.
Hybrid classrooms
- The hybrid classroom in D201 allows for easy access to the digital room. Your computer only needs to be connected to display any PowerPoint or other content on your computer.
- Other hybrid rooms use your computer for the digital room. You need to have Zoom installed along with a USB-C connection to connect to the room’s equipment: camera, sound, and image.
-
The University uses Zoom as its platform for online meetings and online teaching. Your host will provide you with a link to the appropriate Zoom room.
It is recommended to use Zoom software for computers. Go to his-se.zoom.us to download Zoom and user guides.
Safety
-
Inform students about evacuation routes in the rooms you teach in.
It is important that the correct post-evacuation assembly point is known and respected – this will ensure that safety checks can be conducted, to confirm everyone has been evacuated safely.
-
