How can we ensure that our AI systems are trustworthy? What does this actually mean, in practice, and how can we successfully navigate the technology’s potential benefits and drawbacks? During two days, officials, companies, public-sector representatives and AI experts will gather to explore the possibilities and challenges of trustworthy AI. The summit will offer inspirational lectures, panel discussions and interactive workshops.
This summit is primarily intended for individuals who make decisions about, work with or are immediately impacted by AI technologies. But since AI has such a pervasive potential, the conference is also open to anybody who is generally interested in AI, innovation, technology and societal development.
The EU’s concept of ”trustworthy AI” refers to the technology being used in a way that is lawful, ethical, and robust (both technically and socially). It does so by adhering to certain values, such as human oversight, transparency and accountability. But it can be difficult to translate these concepts into robust practice. This summit therefore aims to connect experts from academia and the EU with representatives from companies and the public sector, as well as the general public, to help clarify what is at stake when we use AI, and how to ensure we keep its use restricted to the good, while avoiding the bad.
