The Board of Governors
The Board of Governors is the university's highest decision-making body. The government appoints the chair of the board of governors and seven board members to represent public interests. The other members of the board are the Vice-Chancellor, three lecturers and three students, all ordinary members. Two staff representatives, or trade union representatives, are permitted to attend and speak at board meetings.
Vice-Chancellor and Senior University Officers
The Vice-Chancellor is the head of the authority and directs the university’s operations. The Vice-Chancellor’s deputy is the Pro Vice-Chancellor, who steps in when the Vice-Chancellor is unavailable. The University Director is head of support services, which is a shared function of the entire university. Together, the Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor and University Director are referred to as the Senior University Officers.

Faculty Board
The university’s collegial body, the Faculty Board, has overall responsibility for ensuring the quality of education and research. The Faculty Board is comprised of the Dean, who is also chair, the Pro-Dean, who is deputy chair, seven teaching board members and three student board members.
