The University of Skövde is applying to form a European university together with nine higher education institutions in nine countries. The application will be sent to the EU shortly.
The University of Skövde will soon submit an application to become a European university. The application is made together with nine other European universities within the INGENIUM alliance. If the application is approved, the higher education institutions will deepen their collaboration in education and research.
– This might mean that we are able to complement each other and, in that way create interdisciplinary education and research, says Mikael Ejdebäck, who is Deputy Vice Chancellor for internationalisation at the University of Skövde.
The application to become a European university is submitted to the European Union, which through its Erasmus+ program finances the construction of this type of collaborations.
– We will submit our application shortly and hope to be notified of the result after this summer. I strongly believe in this collaboration. It is a way for us to position ourselves among other European universities, says Mikael Ejdebäck.
